Tim Green | Founding Partner
Tim is a long time South bay resident growing up in Redondo beach after moving here in 1971. He was always involved in sports which resulted in receiving a full scholarship from USC leading his team to a Pac 10 & Rose Bowl championships and also was named MVP of the 1985 game. After Tim’s football years, Tim was blessed to find another passion for architecture and design that equaled his feelings for football and sports. He received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from the prestigious Woodbury University and began working for JAG Architects in downtown Los Angeles. Their expertise was in historical preservation, renovation and rehabilitation design projects. While there he worked on several significant projects, such as, Madaam Trussards, Wax Museum in Hollywood and John Lautner’s, The Bell House while holding the role of VP of Business Development for the company. Over the past two decades, he has personally managed dozens of projects from new home design, large additions and spec rehab through construction for his personal development family business opportunities. Prior to forming Equity Design Associates in early 2017, he worked for 3 years as the Business Development VP and Lead Designer for First Light Development in Manhattan Beach. This local experience has lead to a wealth of professional relationships with all the local cities building and planning personnel. Equity Design’s core strength besides stunning artistic individual designs but our focus is on offering a value proposition within their budget range to accomplish the desired results together with our clients. We have the ability to expedite the design process by understanding early on what our clients styles and budgets are and then being practical, thorough, diligent and conscientious throughout the entire process to include value engineering, which in turn, really separates us from our competitors.
